Since 2008, Fresno Ultimate Martial Arts has provided its members with a road map to success based on self defense, confidence, and goal setting skills. We teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Karate, and a variety of Martial Arts. Our programs have a strong focus on personal development. The foundations of our morals, values and core character traits are formed in our early years. For this reason, the programs at Fresno Ultimate Martial Arts are an essential way to enhance the growth and personal development of young students of all ages.You might naturally associate martial arts with hollywood stunts and kicks and punches, but the self-defense aspect of martial arts is just part of it. Children that learn martial arts develop the confidence to know that if they are ever bullied, they have the skills they need to defend themselves. However, the real skill we teach is diffusing situations with words before they ever escalate to a physical level.The foundation of our kid's martial arts curriculum is the education and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence. For Adults, you may have experienced boredom with your usual fitness routine or reached a plateau in your performance or physical fitness results. Our adult programs are the perfect alternative to a boring gym routine, as they help you develop into your maximum potential both physically and mentally by providing real-life self-defense strategies in a fun, focused environment.Finding a fitness routine you can enjoy should not be a difficult task. However, as adults we have all experienced the initial enthusiasm for new workout routines, only to find ourselves bored or uninspired before long. Since its arrival in the United States in the 1980s, Jiu-Jitsu has experienced an unprecedented popularity, with its practitioners creating a real culture of their own. Because most if not all hand to hand attacks end up on the ground, today's Martial Artist needs to grapple WELL if they expect to win. That’s why we’ve developed our Submission Grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program to really boost your ground game. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing it for competition, or self-defense. We’ll show you everything you need to succeed. Jiu-Jitsu is a unique program that truly teaches self-defense for the real world. Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time. These are many of the same strategies that police officers use when in a threatening situation. But there is one more important detail to add to this - it’s crazy fun! Getting in shape and gaining confidence should not be a huge chore made up of boring gym workouts you dread daily. And most importantly, it is not something you have to face alone! Kick gym boredom and lack of results to the curb by joining our Kickboxing Classes as well! Based on the most exciting of combat sport, this program builds endurance, strength and send your confidence sky high. You will also find it much easier to stay consistent and reach your full potential by training in a team environment. Finding a fitness routine you can enjoy should not be a difficult task. The cardio intensity experienced in a kickboxing class is extreme, and that is why when we think of kickboxers we always imagine that most toned, ripped physique out of all mixed martial arts practitioners. A single kickboxing class can burn anywhere from 600-1200 calories depending on intensity.We kick bags until we are drenched in sweat, but also practice drills with other team members. The results are always the same: Fat melts, muscles get toned and your reflexes and determination achieve levels you never experienced before.
